WWII Russian Range From Battle Honours 3D

These look very nice, particularly the Soviet greatcoat infantry (my current obsession for winter Stalingrad battles). I wonder how they look compared to the Peter Pig range and/or the old Battlefront (Flames of War) WW2 Soviet greatcoat infantry. The former does not have medium mortars or ATRs in greatcoats (though some head swaps are turning out well) and the latter only has the standard infantry with none of the support weapons. Perhaps an option if the figures look roughly comparable from three feet or more.

Good luck on the range!

Our WWII Soviet miniatures range is now live, covering the Red Army across the full span of the Eastern Front. This release is built around real battlefield conditions, with summer, padded and greatcoat uniforms so your force matches the campaign you're representing.

The whole range can be found here.

This is a complete expansion of the Soviet line, including infantry, command, support weapons, and specialist units, all designed in True Scale for consistency across your army.

Russian Padded Uniform

Built Around Real Eastern Front Campaigns

The range ties directly into how the war was fought across different conditions.

Summer uniforms fit early-war operations such as Operation Barbarossa and major engagements like the Battle of Kursk.

Padded uniforms reflect prolonged fighting in harsh conditions throughout the mid-war period.

Greatcoats suit extreme winter battles such as the Battle of Stalingrad and later Soviet offensives.

This gives you the flexibility to match your force to a specific moment in the war.

Russian Maxim

Full Tabletop Coverage From Infantry to Support Weapons

The range is built to function on the tabletop.

You can field:

  • Rifle squads in advancing and firing poses
  • Maxim machinegun teams for static defense
  • Mortar crews for indirect fire support
  • Anti-tank teams to counter armor
  • Light machinegun units for maneuver elements

All units are designed to work together visually and historically.

Russian Great Coat

Female Soviet Units Based on Real Battlefield Roles

Female Snipers

This release includes female Soviet units, reflecting their documented role in the Red Army.

You'll find:

  • Female snipers
  • Female medics

Around 800,000 women served in the Soviet armed forces during WWII. An estimated 2,000+ female snipers were deployed. Many saw front-line combat, not just support roles. Women served as medics, machinegunners, pilots, and reconnaissance troops.

Snipers such as Lyudmila Pavlichenko, credited with over 300 confirmed kills, highlight how effective these units were in practice.

Including these figures gives you the option to represent a more accurate Soviet force on the tabletop.

Designed to Match Across Your Entire Force

All figures follow True Scale.

  • Correct human proportions
  • Consistent sizing across units
  • Measured from foot to bridge of nose

This keeps your force visually consistent across infantry, support weapons, and command.

Russian Greatcoat

Built for Wargaming & Dioramas

This range gives you the flexibility to recreate specific battles and scenarios with accuracy.

Urban warfare in Stalingrad
Use greatcoat infantry, snipers, and Maxim teams to represent defensive positions inside ruined buildings. Tight streets, rubble, and short engagement ranges suit small-unit actions and ambush tactics.
Defensive lines during Barbarossa
Summer uniform rifle units and machineguns work well for early war scenarios where Soviet forces are holding ground under pressure. Position anti-tank teams to reflect improvised responses to advancing armor.
Kursk and large-scale engagements
Mix summer and padded uniforms to reflect mid-war conditions. Use layered defences with machineguns, mortars, and anti-tank units to represent depth across the battlefield.
Winter offensives and counterattacks
Greatcoat units supported by mortars and advancing infantry suit late-war pushes. These scenarios work well with snow terrain, reduced visibility, and close-range engagements.
Late-war advances into Eastern Europe
Combine padded and greatcoat units to reflect changing conditions during offensives such as Operation Bagration. Use command units and support weapons to build more structured, coordinated forces.

The variety in uniforms and unit types allows you to adjust your force depending on terrain, weather, and time period.
