Burma Masterstroke

Burma Masterstroke lets you wargame the British invasion and reconquest of Burma in the spring of 1945. Under William Slim, the XIV Army used speed, innovation and deception to smash the Japanese Area Army in a masterful and often overlooked campaign. The campaign is covered in ten action-packed scenarios featuring the fighting throughout the country. These scenarios are for use with the Fireball Forward rules system. However, they can be adapted to any company-level system in which the basic maneuver unit is a squad. There are a maximum of two companies per side with supporting armor. All scenarios have been thoroughly researched and extensively playtested. The British are on the offensive, and many scenarios feature infantry/armor task forces taking on determined Japanese defenders. However, the Japanese often launched spoiling attacks, and these are covered as well. One especially interesting scenario involves the Japanese using a captured British Sherman tank. Also included is a twelve-page historical monograph.
