Roman Invasion book was delivered this morning. The artwork is great as always. A marching fort is included, elephants even make an appearance :-) I've avoided the more mainstream areas of our hobby for many years and these Helion books suit that quirk in my nature.

I see the books as something you'd involve the grandkids with and the rules reflect that. Movement by base width,combat by D6. There's actually 2 sets included in the Roman book,basic & very basic.

Sunday, 12th of February, will see Helion and Company military history publishers at Robin Red on Blue wargames show in Nottingham.

We shall be launching the latest books in our Battle for Britain series with Armada 1588 and Roman Invasion. We will also have a demo game with series creators Peter Dennis and Andy Callan.

We also will be launching the first in a new series of books that examine the period 1721-1815 – from Reason to Revolution.

The first publication in our new series is Lobositz to Leuthen: Horace St Paul and the Campaigns of the Austrian Army in the Seven Years War 1756-57.
