Ohhh plastic Cavalry from Victrix to accompany these figures would be a great addition .
Ive just finished painting my 110th Victix Hoplite and I cant wait for something new to add to the army , some of the WG Numidians will work for now for skirmishers but so looking forward to these two new sets to break up the painting queue.

Greeks!

We are really pleased to announce that our two New Greek plastic boxed sets, VXA005 Greek unarmoured Hoplites and archers and VXA006 Greek Peltasts, Javelin men and slingers, are now on sale.

We could not be happier with the results of our first foray into digital sculpting and production for organic figures. The detail has come out crisp and sharp. The faces, hair, muscle tone and cloth look fantastic, and so we must give a big thanks to the guys in the tool room for their efforts.

Peltasts

Each set contains 48 Hoplites or Peltasts, and either eight slingers or eight archers, depending on which set. There are a great variety of heads in both sets, which can be freely intermixed with each other.

Painted hoplites and slingers

The figures are nice and easy to assemble, whilst still allowing a huge variety in pose and equipment choice. In most cases, you have a body with shield arm built-in and weapon arm built-in. You then attach the weapon with hand attached to the wrist, a shield, and a head, and you are done. Some figures have crests you may want to apply. The sword scabbards are built-in to the figures, which can sometimes be a bit tricky!

Steve (it's funny talking about yourself in the third person! Makes me feel like Gollum) has produced some Peltast shield design sheets and some new Hoplite sheets. More Peltast sheets will be worked on after Salute.

Shield transfers

We have put up some post-free worldside great offer multi-box deals for the new Greeks, so please check them out on the Victrix website: victrixlimited.com.

These great-looking figures have many uses other than for just Greeks. The Peltasts in particular with the assortment of bare heads in the set can be very useful for Dark Age Celts and Scots. They would also be very useful in a slave revolt army, and will provide conversion potential for all sorts of nations when mixed with the plethora of plastic sets now available. They really will help your creativity run riot!

These sets will be available at Salute, as well as on sale online.

And briefly to finish. Our other product news is that the 1:100th scale plastic Stuka is all tooled and waiting to go in the press. This won't be on sale at Salute but shortly after. (We should have samples at the show, however.) The Typhoon is in tooling, with the Thunderbolt not far behind.

The Republican Roman set (one) (two more to follow) is in tooling, but we most likely won't have test frames until early June.
