Thanks, AncientWarfare. Yes, they sell surprisingly well at my store; as I am (usually) Johnny-on-the-spot when it comes in, I get the first copy, and I sort of keep tabs on the shelf count during frequent visits.

I just worry about arbitrary cut-backs. And I miss my Borders. And I love paper copies of pretty mags, if I have any choice in the matter.

WSS 74

The theme of Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy issue 74 is "Operation Market Garden." It contains ten full scenarios (a linked campaign for four of those) at platoon and company level, and suggestions for a whole lot more.

Aside from this notorious WWII operation, there are excursions to the Seven Years War in India, Montrose's campaign in Scotland, the Iliad, Game of Thrones, and terrain making.

Finally, it's the first issue of WS&S with a 15mm cover vignette – what's not to like?
