The Triumph! Battle Card rules provide a simple way to add fun tactics and army-specific flavor to your Triumph! games. This supplement contains 24 different Battle Cards and all of the context and rules related to them, as well as gorgeous artwork inspired by primary sources.
Artwork for the battle cards is strongly based upon historical examples.
Our artist, Karolina Kabata, has done a wonderful job of retaining the flavor and style of these works within her original art. Sources for the themes include the Morgan Bible (French, mid-13th Century), the Juki Shahnamah (Timurid, first half of the 15th Century), the scroll of the Departure Herald (Ming Dynasty), Ming dynasty woodcuts of soldiers, Greek pottery (6th Century BC), a Byzantine mosaic from Palermo, Sicily (12th Century), and wall paintings from the tomb of Nebamun (18th Dynasty Egyptian, early New Kingdom period).
