STL (3D Model) – $3.00 USD
This is an STL file for your 3Dprinter of the German/Austrian WWI aircraft Hansa Brandenburg CC.
The Hansa Brandenburg CC was named for Camillo Castiglioni, who financed the thing. Vanity, am I right?
The flying boat featured a pusher design in order to give the pilot a wide field of fire, and sported Ernst Heinkel's star-strut system. The strut construction made the CC very robust and she could take a lot of punishment.
However, while Austrian pilots found the CC a pleasant craft to fly, the Germans thought otherwise. She was sluggish in weather, and difficult to land on any sea that wasn't as placid as the Adriatic or Aegean Sea. Thus the North Sea was not exactly her milieu.
Early variants had the machinegun mounted out of the pilot's reach, a design flaw that became quite noticeable when the gun jammed.
The aircraft comes in 1:100 and 1:285 scales, for your convenience. For additional scales, reduce or increase the scale in your slicer. For example, for 1:144, print the 1:100 scale at 69.44%.
