Example of Play

This hex-based game allows players to fight WWI battles taking place outside of static trench lines, as if the employment of armor has allowed one side to break through into "the green fields beyond," as if the Germans had manufactured large quantities of tanks of their own, as if the experimental tanks of the era were employed in quantity, or as if H.G. Wells' fictitiously large "Land Ironclads" had been built. Rules are also included for the appearance of H.G. Wells' Martian Tripods in WWI battles or for the depiction of a Martian invasion.

This document follows through one game turn, step-by-step, to illustrate how the game is played. The last two pages show the tables and the sequence of play.
