This is the first of this month's releases (the rest will be shown shortly). These are the first three codes for the Italian armies of the mid-to-late 15th Century. With these, there were some subtle differences in clothing/armor that can be mixed with the current plastic-and-metal codes to produce an accurate army. The open-faced barbuta were more common than the visored sallet, so there are a fair few of the them in these and the following releases. Hukes (or short, sleeveless tabards, often belted at the front) are also often seen in Italian images, as well as particular styles of hat. Specific Italian troop types will also be covered.
There are also two more new carts in the Wars of the Roses range, which can obviously be pressed into any European medieval army.

We will be putting on a War of the Roses game at Partizan (Kelham Hall, Newark, Nottinghamshire) on Sunday, 27th May. If anybody is interested, come and say hello! The game is loosely based on Margret of Anjou's flight to the coast and hence to France after the Battle (rout) of Hexham. There may well be some intervention by Yorkist forces of course.
