My copy is ordered.
I hope to receive it next week.

I don't think it is that expensive, take a look at C&C Napoleonic, which is a different game, but much more expensive.

TravelBattle

This is a kind of beer-and-pretzels game which was thought up by Michael (Perry) 25 years ago, as an antidote to a long journey with a group of bored tabletop gamers with nothing to play. Although it's a stand-alone game designed for gamers who have limited space or are traveling and need a gaming fix, it can be doubled up to twice the terrain area and double the armies if you join two sets together. You can, of course, keep adding boards and armies together.

TravelBattle

The two green plastic 3D terrain boards are 10" squares with roads, hills, plowed fields, walled areas, and six separate buildings. The two boards are different designs but match up neatly side by side with roads connecting. This means you have potentially 16 variations of battlefield by turning the board edges around. The tree tops for the woods are separate to allow figures to be placed in wooded areas.

The two armies are generic Napoleonic forces of equal size and composition which make up three brigades for each side. There are two blue and two red frames of figures in the box, so there is no real need to paint them, although, if you do, there are a few of pictures here to show you what can be achieved. In the pictures, Aly Morrison has gone for classic red and blue painted armies, whereas Alan has painted them as French and Austrians. When sculpting the figures, we wanted to keep the uniforms simple and generic to enable you to paint them up as various different nations or imaginations. The 8mm size of figures came about as 6mm, seemed just too tiddley and 10mm too big for 1" squares, some of which have buildings in them.

The simple rules system should allow a game to played within an hour, and they also include a painting guide in case you wish to enhance your armies and terrain boards.

The game could also be used as a mini-campaign as a build up to a large 28m/15mm battle.
