We've made a few minor tweaks to our website recently. The one that most people will see is that there are some new payment options at check-out. Some people have had issues with paying using the PayPal credit card plug-in (sometimes the Captcha software just doesn't want to acknowledge that you're human) so we've added an alternative card payment gateway via SumUp (this is the same card processor we use at shows). If you have issues with the PayPal plug-in, give this a try instead and you hopefully will have more luck.
We've also added the option to pay by bank transfer (U.K. orders only at the moment). If you choose to pay this way then you'll be given the details to pay us – just send us the total on the order acknowledgement email using your surname and order number as the reference.
We've had a spate of card-testing attacks on the website recently. This is where criminals attempt to place low-value orders on a website using stolen credit card numbers – most of the orders are rejected, but if any succeed then they know they have a valid, working credit card and will quickly go off and buy something much more expensive somewhere else. As a result we've had to install some security plug-ins to try and mitigate these attacks, but inevitably in doing so we're likely to create some false positives and reject one or two legitimate orders. If you have any issues with completing your check-out then contact us and we'll do our best to sort it out.
And speaking of contacting us, we've just discovered that the website had stopped sending notifications telling us messages were waiting, so we've suddenly discovered a load that we hadn't seen. If you've been waiting for a reply, then please accept our apologies – Tony had a blitz through them and answered them all (and deleted all the spam ones…). And we've installed yet another plug-in that should get the email notifications working again.
