I Served With Heroes

World War II squad-based wargame with elements of roleplaying. Each model is a soldier that you control on the battlefield in squad-versus-squad combat. Now, with any wargame, you can never get the realism, but you can get close to what you are trying to achieve, so each soldier is their own person that you can name, have skills, and also feel the loss on the field when one dies, unlike the massive platoon-sized games where you don't care if one dies.

The game is based on successes on dice to determine the outcome of how well you hit the target, and then the defending player reduces those successes with their own defense successes to achieve wounds, etc. Cover, suppression, running and other factors will be in play when trying to determine the outcome of the dice.

It's a unique system of squads-versus-squads with elements of roleplaying, with more supplements coming soon for other nations. Germany and the U.S. are represented with the base rules, all you need for simple combat.
