Dear "Masked Avenger," (See, I Know Your OTHER Secret Identity!),

Yeah, it's about the down-and-outest Cheap Hotel you've ever hid out in. And wait 'til you see the tile in the bathroom at the end of the hall!

Just one piece of advice. That piece of "chocolate" you might find on your pillow… it's brown, but it ain't chocolate.

Mean Sets provide inexpensive but highly practical interiors in which fans of Pulp Fiction, Gangster/Detective, and Horror role-playing games may place and move their 25/28mm scale alter egos. Mean Sets complements TVAG's line of 25/28mm scale City Blocks (Mean Streets) and may be used in conjunction with them (but do not fit inside!).

The Speakeasy/Bar - "Thanks. Here's Your Change!"

Other interiors are very expensive and, being four-sided, allow little room to move the figures - which can only be seen from directly above! Where's the fun in that?

Each Mean Set is modeled after the classic Hollywood movie "set" - rooms without one or more walls and no ceilings, so that figures may be easily moved, and players can have the fun of actually seeing the action at eye-level!

Extra features which come with different Sets include printed rugs, period art, posters, advertising, and self-assembly furniture. There is even a separate set of cardstock desks, chairs, filing cabinets, safes, radios, wall clocks, etc. Links are provided to other miniatures vendors of everything else you might need, such as candlestick telephones, cash registers, lamps, more furniture, and even pull-chain toilets!

The first collection of Mean Sets comprises five of the most common settings in Pulp Fiction stories: The Private Investigator's (P.I.'s) Office, The Cheap Hotel, The Italian Restaurant, The Garage, and the Speakeasy/Bar. Subsequent collections will include The P.I.'s Apartment, The Brewery, The Bank Lobby, Night Club, Barber Shop, and more.

The Cheap Hotel - "Come out, Marlow"

The models are pre-printed on full-color cardstock for self-assembly. Instructions are provided both by link at TVAG, and in PDF form for E-mailing. There is an extensive Photo Page that gives many examples of use from different angles as well, to help with construction.

The entire first collection can be also be bought as PDF's on CD with free bonus materials included.

There are even more special offers - and discounts! - described on the Mean Sets page, so leg it over to The (Virtual) Armchair General and check them out for yourself.
