It is not a re-roll of failures it is a re -roll of every D6 rolled.
That means if you rolled 5D6 and decide to re-roll you must pick up those 5D6 and re-roll ALL of them.

Bloody barons is full of new ideas that take some getting used to.

This is where decision making comes in.

e.g you roll 7 D6 and get 2 successes (on 5,6).
Would you re-roll or not?
If a re-roll might be very useful I might risk it. But what if the result were worse? Cautious/realistic or rash/gamble??

e.g You roll 7D6 and get 5 successes. Probably not a good idea to re-roll. But are you desperate for 6 successes as that would give a win in the current fight??

The new edition of the Wars of the Roses rules is here. It is called The Bloody Barons. It replaces the earlier (2005) Bloody Barons. Notice the clever name change?

The earlier, 2005 edition will still be available for the next five years or so. Peter Pig usually gives a gap of about ten years between editions of our rulesets.

This new edition uses the same base sizes as the earlier edition, but that is the extent to the commonality.

Below is a link to a full description of how the rules work. A browse across our website will also lead to battle reports and free downloads (playsheets, etc.).

My home-made rules are much better, and I have fitted them on to one side of a piece of paper and use only twelve figures a side for each warband.

The Bloody Barons is "buyable" in PDF or printed book form. In the U.S., Brookhurst Hobbies have a good stock of them, too.

More figures will join the PP WOTR range soon.
