Well, I suppose I need to answer some questions and put rumors to rest.
Vince and I are not in a divorce process. Rumors get started so easily when things go awry. Vince did walk out unexpectedly and without warning. He dropped not only his family but his customers in deep water. He was Brigade Games' main caster, and made some of their molds. He was also Parroom Station's caster and made some of Bob's molds. He also cast for several other companies. He just left. And we had over 1,000 molds on the shelves and convention season coming up. I was left with the unpleasant task of notifying everybody with no explanation to give them. That wasn't an easy task.
Lon Weiss, Bob Charrette, Richard Houston, and so many others in the wargaming community have just been wonderful to help me sort things out. Ed Phillips and Pat Condray's wife and the gamers from Hattiesburg and Jackson, Mississippi, have all come in and helped. Many of them are here this weekend. Dealers and friends from all over the country have called or emailed to see what they can do. So I am very grateful to everyone for their concern and help.
I will eventually close the business. After fifteen years and all the conventions, it will be bittersweet.
We still have a lot of stock, except for Parroom Station which has already moved homes. I still have all of Vince's personal book collection and figures and gaming buildings and terrain.
I pulled the website down temporarily because if customers placed orders for an item that needed to be cast, I couldn't cast it. I hope to get the website back up with items that I have for sale. That is not a certainty, considering how busy I am trying to dissolve the business. However, please email me if you would like to purchase something, and I will let you know if we have it in stock. I no longer take credit cards, so payment will have to be by PayPal or check/cash/money order or whatever.
I imagine that my remaining stock of Houston's Weapons will be the last for a while. Richard was not too inclined to put them back on the market with the economic downturn, and he is no longer in the casting business but retired.
So when someone asks about TLWR, you have heard it straight from the owner's mouth.
I will always be lurking and keeping up with the hobby. Thanks to everyone for your support and friendship over the years.
