I think you'll find them part-way between 45 Adventure and Chain Reaction. More realistic feel than 45 Adventure, but more cinematic than Chain Reaction.

The days are now drawing close to this long-awaited release of We Can Be Heroes II, and I can now start unveiling all the details.

We Can Be Heroes II

First up, the release date is 24th November, just over a week away.

The game will be released in two variants, a downloadable PDF (24th November) and book (30th November through Lulu).

A pre-release offer is available on the PDF.

The book is 70 pages (A4), with colour cover, and for the first time by me, a full-colour inside! Yes, that's full-colour pages. It is a stunning-looking book, and I am sure will inspire you.

Our first pre-release is the front cover, with additional sample pages added every few days before release. When you see these, you will understand why I went to full colour.

We Can Be Heroes II is a lighthearted game that can be played either solo or with many players. It focuses on the adventures of heroes (and heroines) and their sidekick companions. The game may be played as a skirmish in the basic rules, or with multi-based miniatures.

The game allows any period to be played, using generic rules which can be easily customized to your needs. Use of different period or genre miniatures is even possible with differing technology. Games may be played in a 'pulp' comic or movie style, or in more serious fashion. Players can easily assume the role of their characters and semi-roleplay the game.

Play is easily started using the play aids that come with the game, and the rules and examples designed to show ways in which the rules can be used. The mechanics of the game are so simple I have had 6-year-olds playing the game.
