Worth the wait !!! 
Things are happening on the Hammer's Slammers: The Crucible front.
Scheduled to appear in Miniature Wargames magazine are a series of articles over the next few months (November to January issues).
These include:
- A set of rules for the use of powered armour and small mechs using The Crucible.
- A scenario with solo play in mind, taken from one of David Drake's stories and using just one combat car (for those on a limited budget!).
- And a full eight-page supplement, presented in an identical format to the rules themselves, featuring both some additional optional rules on counter-battery fire and off-table mortars, plus the 'ultimate' Slammers: the New Friesland Defence Force (or what the Slammers eventually became). This feature has new vehicle stats and play cards.
In preparation for this, a new version of the 'Buying detachments' file - the one that makes it easy to buy the right vehicles for the forces - has been uploaded onto the site. This version takes the opportunity to correct some previous small errors.
