I have ordered Corps Command Campaigns IV, it arrives next week. I have previously posted a review on TMP of Corps Command Campaigns (http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=516146). Since that review, I have been introduced to Empires in Arms (from a recommendation on TMP). The two are similar in many respects: the seven major powers are the same, the map of Europe is similar (I prefer the Empire in Arms map).

Some differences:
Empires in Arms is an amazing game, but it is designed as stand-alone game. Corps Command Campaigns is designed to generate miniatures battles (both land and naval). I use Corps Command Campaigns with HRG's Corps Command miniatures rules, but with minimal adjustments it would work with any Corps/Division level miniatures rules.

Empires in Arms is primarily the European side of the Napoleonic wars. Corps Command Campaigns is Europe plus the rest of the world. With Corps Command Campaigns: Tsar Paul can send a Cossack army to India to cause great frustration for the British; major powers can organize a joint-operation to clear out Jean Lafitte's pirates; Spain may need to intervene and put down Mexican independence movements; the United States could possibly send a division to Europe. (I am reading Alexander Mikaberidze's "The Napoleonic Wars: A Global History", Corps Command Campaigns gives me the mechanic to draw these events into a Napoleonic campaign.)

Corps Command Campaigns differentiates between Napoleonic Armies (corps system) and European Armies (division-based armies). Eventually, most major powers adopt the corps system, but until they do, the French forces are more effective.

Corps Command Campaigns has mechanics built in for minor power diplomacy.

Supply is simpler in Corps Command Campaigns than Empire in Arms.

I enjoy Empires in Arms—it is the best Napoleonic campaign board game I've played. Corps Command Campaigns is not designed a as stand-alone board game, it is designed as a campaign game to generate miniature wargames.

If between the previous review and this one, you have questions, please send them. I really enjoy Manny Granillo's rules (but I don't enjoy the 'eclectic editing').
