BU35 - Caucasian Cossack Cavalry

Kuban or Terek Cossacks for WWI, RCW and Back of Beyond - although they could also be used as troops of the Persian Russian brigade or independent Georgian army. With the shoulder straps filed down they could be Red Cossacks. On active service the outer cherkeska coat was usually grey or some other drab colour, often with a black beshmet undercoat. I've given this pack small kubanka fur hats (probably white lambswool) - £11.00 GBP

BU36 - White Russian Cossack Cavalry 1

The wide stripe on the blue breeches, the shoulder straps and the top of the fur hat were in the distinctive colour of the particular Cossack host - in the east, yellow for Trans-Baikal, crimson for Semirechinsk and scarlet for Siberian. Removing shoulder boards will turn them into Red Cossacks - £11.00 GBP
