Platoon Commander: WWII, a new set of skirmish wargaming rules in 1:1 scale.
Platoon Commander may be used with 20mm-28mm scale miniatures and uses 10-sided dice for all resolutions. The rule system emphasizes fire and maneuver tactics with a dynamic morale system and uses an alternating activation system. Players will be forced to balance unit actions and reactions to maximize their effectiveness and minimize unexpected events. Units are centered on teams, crews, half/full squads and singular vehicles.
Included in the book are all the rules for infantry and vehicle combat as well as two army lists (Late-war German and Soviet), six historical scenarios, templates, counters, and a player-aid card.
The rules are fast, east to learn and intuitive. Most importantly, the rules are detailed. All charts are simple and clear, with the Player-Aid card containing all the pertinent tables and procedures. The rules system benefits realistic fire and movement tactics, and every game moves quickly at no loss in realism.
Platoon Commander: WWII is designed for platoon-to-company-level combat, and can easily be played with larger forces if required. The rules are easily adaptable to convention games with players picking up the rules in minutes of introduction - the rules have been used for the last 2 years at Cold Wars, Historicon, and Fall In with great success!
