If this is any help: I painted my 15mm WOTR men at arms in three stages: 1. priming (white), 2. base colour: Humbrol Metal Cote number 27003 – let dry and brush with toothbrush 3. Drybrush with silver. After that the details like face, belts, scabbards etcetera. Fast but goodlooking !

Prince of Wales

I thought I'd put up a couple of pictures of the first two plastic Wars of the Roses households painted up. Splendidly painted by Jim Bowen, they depict part of the Prince of Wales's retinue and part of the Duke of Somerset's, to be included in the Battle of Tewksbury we are planning on gaming at Salute this year.

Handguns

Also, you might have noticed '3 up' resin and green examples of the next 15th Century plastic box set. As you see, even these are not finished yet, matches aren't fixed to handguns, etc, but the box will contain pike, crossbow and handgun. Pikes are held upright, and handguns and crossbow will be a mix of loading, firing and advancing, plus pavises (and other weapon options... if I can fit them in!). The infantry sprue bodies and heads will be the same as the bow-and-bill box, but obviously the arms/weapons and command frame will be new and include many more heads. These are still in the process of being sculpted, so don't expect anything soon! There is no release date at this time.

Pike and crossbow

The first release of the 28mm metal range will be available by the first week in February. I'll put up the list and pictures at the end of this week.
