Paul A Hannah writes:

I'm flattered that Bill picked up this announcement from our local DBA group's Yahoo group, but, I guess, only if you drilled down into the links would you know that we're in Seattle, Washington USA. (We won't be offended if DBA fans in Scotland or Australia aren't able to make it.)

Yeah, our group's Jumbo mascot is indeed more of a khaki brown than a panzer gray. Personal taste, I guess, but that's how I tend to paint pachyderms. This no-flash picture, however, seems to warm up the brownish hue even more. I compared Jumbo to the picture. The model looks a bit more gray-brown than it does in the photo.

Paul A. Hannah of Northgate Ancients Gamers announces:

This Wednesday's DBA Game Night marks four years of continuous bi-weekly DBA Ancients miniatures gaming at Fire & Sword Hobbies for the Northgate Ancients Gamers (NAGS). We're gonna celebrate a bit and folks here are invited, too.

DBA gaming

Wednesday, October 11th
Fire & Sword Hobbies, 5-9pm.
540 NE Northgate Way
(near, but not in, Northgate Mall)

Armies, terrain and snacks(!) provided.

Who knew, when a few DBA players gathered there at the just-opened Fire & Sword Hobbies, that we'd still be going every other Wednesday four years later? On average, there are 8-12 gamers, aged 20-50, on hand.

The theme this Wednesday evening, on the eve of the real Columbus Day, is Armies of the Americas - Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, etc., but, as always, anything goes. Games take about 30-45 minutes each. No experience necessary.

Feel free to drop in for some or all of the event.
