We Want the Gold

Heroic quests, daring deeds, romance, glory and honor. This is not one of those games…

We Want the Gold (WWTG) is a fantasy skirmish ruleset which combines tabletop battles with elements of RPG. Players create and control a faction of four or five characters, who then strive to achieve their objectives across a particular scenario setting. A GameMaster (GM) oversees the game, running the activation process and passing out information as the game progresses.

The game works best with three to five factions, and styles of play can be varied in many ways. It may be co-operative, competitive or a mix of the two, depending on the objectives of each faction. It is also be possible to play without a GM, particularly in a cooperative game.

Factions can form alliances, double-cross, aid or hinder each other in their quest for gold, arcane knowledge, monster hunting, or revenge. Factions may even consist of 'monsters', such as vampires or necromancers, intent on completing a foul ritual!

Any type of figure can be used, both for factions and creatures. No special tokens or cards are required, beyond some counters and a dice bag to draw them from, and the game uses conventional RPG dice.

The 90-page book includes everything you need to play, from character creation, to combat, to spells and settings, plus four fully detailed scenarios, and plot ideas for many more.

There's those who fight for honor, the blessed and the bold. You can keep your honor – We Want the Gold!
