The last missing piece for the first wave of our new 15mm Ancient buildings range is now complete, and will be in production shortly!

We expect to release the whole set in early March 2008.

Gate (front)

Images of a painted sample will be on our website in time for the release.

For the moment, you can see higher definition images of the upcoming gate module and other models of the Ancient walled city range in the Photos section of our group, 'previews' folder here.

Gate (back)

The gate module has the same 120mm frontage as the standard wall section, but it's composed of a couple extra parts: the wall itself is in two 40mm sections, leaving a full 40mm gap in the middle; the top is like the standard wall, except it includes a massive stone architrave, typical of early architecture. There is an indentation in which you can paint your favorite emblem, or mount one of the several bas-relief carved symbols included. I've made a few different ones, and each pack will include a generous random selection. The door itself is a single separate piece, but it's preset to be cut in half for the more crafty minded, so that it can be mounted open or ajar, or even left free to swivel by adding a couple of pins... There is also a separate horizontal bar (not shown) that can be fitted into apposite recesses in the inner sides of the wall, allowing for a rather solid-looking barred gate!

Lots of more news coming for this and the other ranges as well, so stay tuned!

Cheers!
