I want to thank everyone for the kind words. I'm very sad that I can't keep the store going, but I know that Mark at Scale Creep will do a wonderful job taking over the lines my father carried.

David Tepool, proprietor for web-based Old Rivertowne LLC, passed away late last week. Below is what was shared on the Baccus 6mm website:

Over the weekend I was contacted by Jason, the son David Tepool of Olde Rivertowne Miniatures, who gave me the sad news that his father had died of a heart attack late last week.

The best wishes from all of us at Baccus goes to David's family at what must be desperately troubling time for them.

David first contacted me a few years ago when I was looking for a new sales outlet in the U.S.A. Although he was new to me, he struck me with his enthusiasm and his commitment to success and customer service. He told me of his ambition to make ORT a major force in the supply of wargames figures and accessories. In the following years he built a reputation with his customers for professional and responsive service that was second to none in the business. This was all the more remarkable as ORT was not his primary activity as he had an extremely demanding business with successul motor dealership.

I shall sorely miss David Tepool. He was a joy to work with and a true professional.

Jason has informed me that he is currently working on completing and winding up all outstanding orders with ORT, after which the company will not be taking any further orders.
