DGS Games is currently running the Freeblades Fantasy Miniatures: Falkaaran Adventurers Kickstarter, which has reached over 50% funding towards its goal. This Kickstarter project goal is to raise the capital to put the Falkaar faction (from their Freeblades skirmish game) into production. Much of the art and sculpting has been completed, but DGS needs just a little more money to put these into production.
While Freeblades is a fantasy miniatures game, DGS figures are very realistically sculpted and posed – making them popular with a wide range of gamers and genres. Falkaar has two of these crossover figures in the Kickstarter. One is the sailor, who is posed tossing a large grappling hook – a pose that is quite uncommon.
Another is a pikeman, with a rather long pike.
The realism and scale of these figures should be of interest to fantasy and historical gamers alike.
