Sally of Kallistra writes:

As promised, black Hexon is now available in single hexes, 100mm across flats, in packs of ten as well as the standard six-hex Hexon board.

New black single hexes from Kallistra

This is primarily in response to demands from space combat gamers who wanted more flexibility in their 'space terrain'. Also, many terrain modellers often prefer black as a base colour, onto which they can create special features.

This now means that Hexon standard boards and single hexes are available in brown, blue, and black, as well as the ready-flocked boards.
