Master Modeler Richard Houston has completed new 28mm scale wargames models of the U.S. Navy gunboats Luzon, Oahu and Palos.

The first two are of the same class and effectively identical, both being commissioned in 1928, with the latter commissioned earlier in 1914. All were destined for service on the Yangtse on the U.S. Navy's "China Station" squadron and work perfectly for wargames vs. Chinese Pirates and the Nationalist Forces. All models are perfectly compatible with the wargame rules Boilers And Breechloaders, also available from TVAG's Rules Page.

All are of greater detail and quality than even Richard's earlier work, utilizing new materials and techniques.
The Luzon and Oahu are among the least expensive of Richard's models to date, though of the usual size of 18" by 5". The Palos, on the other hand, is fully 19.75" in length, and has more features - including the .303 Machine Guns with Shields mounted on both sides.
