"If we are happy to mix, say, medievals over a 2-300 year time span (as most wargamers are) then why not streach uniform accuracy to 3-5 years – or is that heresy?"

I say it is heresy. If a manufacturer goes to the trouble of getting everything in the uniform and equipment exactly right for a particular campaign, the least we can do it use the figures for the intended campaign. Unless, of course, one lacks either the time or money to create two armies that are only differentiated by the shako, as it the case with most of us. In that case, it wouldn't bother me at all.

STEVE LBMS of Victrix Limited writes:

We are pleased to show you some images of the 28mm hard-plastic Napoleonic British miniatures from Victrix Limited.

Group

These are just a few samples of the poses in the Peninsular Centre companies set, and more images will follow in the next few days of the other poses and the Waterloo set in Belgic shakos.

Montage

As you can see, the detail is extremely crisp and well defined, even down to the musket-cleaning tools hanging from the crossbelts.

Advancing

They are now ready to order, and will be shipped to customers in about two weeks' time (as we need to build up stock levels to healthy levels). Every direct order from Victrix will recieve a free Pioneer figure with separate heads in Belgic and Stovepipe shako.

Pioneer

Also, the figures will be available at Crisis in Antwerp, 8th November, and Warfare in Reading, 22nd-23rd November. More announcements about that in the week.

The shopping system was activated only recently, and a glitch has been found that some countries can't order as yet through the system. This is a fault that will be rectified very shortly, we are just waiting for our web support guy to return from his break and sort this issue out. If you are from one of the the countries that can't order through the system, and you want to place an order, send an email to sales@victrixlimited.com and state which sets you want and how many - you will receive an email confirming the cost of your order including shipping plus our PayPal address: sales@victrixlimited.com. The U.K. and Australia are working fine but U.S.A., New Zealand and parts of Europe are having trouble. This is only a temporary hitch and should be rectified on Sunday, but may run to Wednesday.

Images of the plastic miniatures will appear on the site when our web support returns.
