To Rise to the World Above: An intelligent semi-aquatic monster lives in the sewers. Over the many years of its existence, it first fed on other creatures within the sewers, but developed a taste for human flesh after eating a sewer-maintenance tech. Now tired of waiting for humans to come down into the sewers, it has decided to attack the main pipes and flood the sewers, hoping to surface to the human world and feast upon them.
The creature consumed the sewer-maintenance techs sent to repair the pipes. The sewer utility filed missing person reports and requested an investigation into the disappearances. The Player Characters are sent into the area to investigate, finding the four main pipes in the room smashed and pouring water into the area. They see scraps of clothing that belonged to the maintenance techs, skulls, and other bones floating in the water. Then bubbles as the monster surfaces looking for its next meal!
