Here's a definite photo – I have one in my garage. I placed the 120mm turret on the Chi Ha hull and placed the flat side of a black primed building at the leading edge of the tank hull. The gun barrel definitely does NOT overhang the hull.

One of the most powerful variants of the M4 Sherman was the 105mm howitzer-equipped version, which provided valuable fire support for the United States Army and Marines, as well as extensive use in anti-tank operations. Fits most 1:56 Sherman models. Some plug adjustment may be necessary. Resin and metal, available at $9.00 USD.
