The Kings Colours is a set of miniature wargame rules for fight skirmish actions during the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815).
These rules were inspired by the literary exploits of heroes such as Richard Sharpe and his "Chosen Men." Unlike many Napoleonic rules that are designed for fighting grand battles where commanders will maneuver entire battalions and brigades, these rules focus on smaller engagements. These can range from smaller actions being fought as part of a larger battles, or specific missions in which a smaller detachment is sent to capture a specific objective such as a bridge or crossroads, or is ordered to defend a strongpoint such as a farm, manor house, or church.
The rules have been designed for 28mm scale miniatures, with each player commanding around 40 to 100 figures.
