Given that 54mm wargames are growing in popularity and the range of such miniatures figures is ever expanding, the biggest problem many players face is the lack – or hideous expense – of quality buildings in that scale to complete their tabletops.
TVAG has begun to move in that direction, and the first release is Tudor Towne, a collection of 54mm PDF designs for self-assembly cardstock models in the architectural style associated with Elizabethan England.
And while your skirmish games with figures from Errol Flynn movies are perfectly played among any of these models, they have far wider usage! The Tudor Style remained popular for centuries throughout Britain and Northwest Europe. Not merely are there such pubs and homes hundreds of years old still standing, they continued to be built and maintained as history passed around them.
The English Civil, Seven Years, Napoleonic, Franco-Prussian Wars and all those in-between, through both World Wars, buildings of this type saw every army fight in and around them – from Pikemen to Panzers, there is no end of the use for these inexpensive, highly authentic, and easily assembled models.
