Gavin Syme GBS Sponsoring Member of TMP of Alternative Armies writes:

Failure and dismay, and then fear came to Doctorov as experiments resulted in abominations or horror but little use. Then luck visited in the form of a minion forgetting to remove a bucket of water from the re-animator meant to wash away the offal of the previous subject. Attached to the wagon and given energy in the process the next dawn, the water froze and then grew coalescing into a humanoid form bulking out into snow! With a scream from emerging teeth made of coal, the creature came to unlife!
Snowmen

Our last new releases for the year begin this December, and a wish for a merry festive season to you from all of us here at Alternative Armies. Our festive range expands out of 15mm scale to now include 28mm scale, too! We present to you two new codes of 28mm scale Snowmen! One with melee weapons, and the other with black powder weapons. Packs of value bundles with a savings. Read on for more including what else is coming this month from us.

SN07 – Fantasy Snowmen

SN07 - Fantasy Snowmen

This code contains three 28mm scale resin-and-white-metal miniatures. Three Snowmen armed with a Halberd and Shield, Club and Shield, and a Pitchfork. Easy to assemble from a body with separate head and arms giving a limited amount of pose choice. Great for any game system. They stand 28mm to the eyeline and are supplied unpainted, unassembled and without bases. You can choose from a pack of three or a value blister containing twelve mixed Snowmen with a 10% savings. £10.00 GBP per pack

SN08 – Black Powder Snowmen

SN08 - Black Powder Snowmen

This code contains three 28mm scale resin-and-white-metal miniatures. Three Snowmen armed with Musket (Bayonet) and Pistol, Carbine, Blunderbuss and Axe. Easy to assemble from a body with separate head and arms giving a limited amount of pose choice. Great for any game system, especially Flintloque. They stand 28mm to the eyeline and are supplied unpainted, unassembled and without bases. You can choose from a pack of three or a value blister containing twelve mixed Snowmen with a 10% savings. £10.00 GBP per pack

These miniatures are lovely and really rather different. Great for any game system which needs some powder-white frozen terror!

Snowmen in scale

Here is a scale photo next to General Saindoux, who is 28mm tall and taken from 5024 Escape the Dark Czar.

So what else can you expect from Alternative Armies in December 2018…

Later this week, a free two-page download for Flintloque and Slaughterloo with rules and setting for the Snowmen in those games!

A great article on Kim Allman's huge Ferach Armee for Slaughterloo next week. A simply superb army and lots of pictures to look at!

A one-week offer on DarkeStorme, where we will reduce the price of the book in print and as a digital download by 50% as asked for by 28mm fantasy wargamers off the back of our new packs of Wraiths and Wraith Riders.

Snowmen in battle

We will also have, later in the month, the eighth free Flintloque scenario in the Escape the Dark Czar arc which will see the retreating survivors encounter Doctorov's latest monstrous creations, the Snegski Kodundov (literally, the walking snows). Can General Saindoux with the aid of allied Dogmen manage to win even as the lightening storm crackles and rages? You will get to find out. You can find all of the released free arc scenarios on our Begin in Flintloque page.
