Deborah Heath of Crocodile Games writes:

It's that time of year again, when thousands of gamers descend upon the Croc's hometown of Indianapolis for four days of non-stop gaming and plunder! We've spent the last weeks preparing our defenses! The Croc moat is freshly stocked with crocodiles, our armor and weapons are polished and sharpened, and oh yeah - we've made a bunch of new miniatures! Come and see us at booth #2300.

King of Memphis, sculpted by Todd Harris & Chris FitzPatrick, painted by Brenda Gosman

New this year are reinforcements for all three of our WarGods factions currently available - Olympus, Ægyptus, and Hyperborea! Here's an early list of the new stuff that will be available at the Croc booth:

For Ægyptus

  • The new Heru Swordsmen Unit
  • To-Tanem Spearmen Unit with Medium Armor and Shields, sculpted by Chris FitzPatrick
  • Basti Camp-Follower Pack 5, "The King of Memphis & Entourage", sculpted by Todd Harris & Chris FitzPatrick

For Hyperborea, we have the following new minis, all sculpted by Ben Siens!

  • 2 New Wendigo War-Chiefs!
  • Wendigo Summoner
  • Wendigo Master of the Hunt, with Howlers

For Olympus

  • 2 all-new Minotaurs, sculpted by Benoit Cosse!

There will also be a few other minis that haven't yet made it onto the release schedule. We can't guarantee how long these will last, so come by early to get yours!

Painting Events

For the painters… it's the Crocodile Games 7th Annual Painting Contest! Enter your best-painted WarGods pieces in the Gen Con painting contest, and we will be giving away special prizes solely for the best WarGods miniatures in these three categories:

  • Best Single WarGods Figure
  • Best WarGods Unit or Chariot
  • Best WarGods Conversion or Diorama — this category may use components from other manufacturers, but the basic figures used must be Crocodile Games miniatures.

The prizes for each category will be $50 USD of Crocodile Games product for first place, $25 USD for second place, and $10 USD for third place. The WarGods Best of Show piece will win $100 USD in Croc merchandise! There will also be Croc minis in the speed-painting area, for those who are just getting started!

Heresy of Akhenaten Campaign Finale

For WarGods players, there's lots to do as well - the finale of this year's World Campaign will be happening on Saturday, August 15, from 2:00-8:00 in the ICC room 206. Participants will receive this year's exclusive Event Miniature, The Mysterious Stranger.
