Given the number of folks who were killed or injured in the war, how can one have 'too many casualties'?

Plastic French Napoleonic Dragoons 1812-1815

Plastic French Dragoons

These are now ready for pre-order. Just send your order in the usual way, and we'll get them to you as soon as we have them in, which should be around mid-March.

Shown here are a few examples of them made up, a troopers sprue and dismounted sprue. The commmand sprue is just being finished off as I type. The horse sprue is the same as that from the Heavy Cavalry box.

Dragoon trooper sprue

The box contains 13 mounted dragoons, eight dismounted (this allows for horse holders), six casualties (French and British Infantry), unit bases and painting guide. Torsos for the correct ratio of troopers for the elite company are included, both in helmets and the old bearskins retained by some regiments. The dragoon's traditional role of dismounting to fire using long musketoons was still on occasion performed, but since 1800 they had evolved into regular cavalry (excepting the 1805-6 period when foot battalions were formed). The box includes mounted and dismounted figures to allow their full range of duties to be represented.

This is a pretty full box, hence the slightly higher price than normal.

Dismounted dragoon sprue

With April's edition of Battlegames magazine, you will receive a free dismounted dragoon sprue.... free!

Other things in the pipeline are metal British Light Dragoons and Royal Horse artillery 1815, two command packs for the Wars of the Roses including Warwick, mounted pages and mounted men at arms. These are all due for release in late March.
