Hi, all!
This time round, we have a number of news items to keep you all up-to-date with the latest goings on here at Alpha Forge Games.
First, we have previews of the latest Hydrissian alien greens. These unique 28mm sci-fi miniatures have gone from strength to strength over the past year, with regular additions added to the line that have built them into a formidable force for any sci-fi battlefield!
Featured first, we have the Hydrissian Seloi Clan Master Technician. This tall and thin Hydrissian is accompanied by a number of Gopher Drones to act as a bodyguard during a fight. The technician can employ advanced databurst equipment to wrestle control of nearby drones from enemy infantry units. Use this member of your crew to drive your opponents crazy as you capture their 'maxxed out' mekk. A great strategic element for your sci-fi force.
Second, we have the Hydrissian Arganth Clan Master Engineer. This muscular and stocky Hydrissian has two types of equipment to use – the first is the Sentry Mortar that can fire minor drones across the battlefield into strategically important positions. Unbalance your enemy's battle plans as they find themselves under fire from an unexpected quarter!
The engineer also comes with a Shield Generator – carried on the alien's back, this heavy piece of equipment can generate a shield that protects nearby unit members from deadly enemy fire.
Rules for both of these new Hydrissians are covered in our new Star Mogul rules expansion, Star Mogul: Distant Worlds - currently available as a PDF download from our website here.
Printed copies of Star Mogul: Distant Worlds will be available in around 3 weeks.
Both these sets of miniatures will be available for purchase before 26th July 2006. Keep an eye out in the net media for news.
