I'll put in a rebel voice here and say i actually like the random generation. It puts me in mind of the old Gamma World and Metamorphosis Alpha RPGs. It definitely gets things kicking on the table faster for pick up games. For those who want to build their own warbands the Constructed rules on the yahoo group are great. I have been put off points list based gaming somewhat and so enjoy the randomness. |
