OBL can and has fought very well in the past. Ronald Regan praised him for his bravery fighting the russians. (apparently he and about 30 guys held off a russian brigade. IIRC they were special forces troops as well. Thats where he got his limp.)

Yes he is a nasty sort the world could do without but he can fight.

I just dont think one should underestimate their enemy. If you do that then simple tasks against them take years to complete due to the fact they are always proveing themselves far smarter than the battle plan gave credit for.
