Rochester … not sure I understand your question.

Background: The "last" Ork Trukk was designed not for 40K but for GorkaMorka. The Orks in that game were supposed to be mounted on special narrow bases, so you could try and pile a bunch in the back. In GorkaMorka, your vehicle could ONLY hold as many as you could actually put in it. A novel concept. They were encouraging hobby types using the base kit and doing some major tinkering.

Anyway, the kit came with a plastic Ork driver and gunner, and those plastic guys were a bit on the smaller side. But that's just how the kit came. Besides, once you got to where you were going, you needed to yank the "seated" driver and gunner and replace them with regular walking figs anyway.

So I don't know what you mean by "scaled the same as the foot figures".

The new trukk is way bigger than the old one. The bed is wider and longer, and obviously, the kit comes with way more special bits. And the photos I've seen of it in the new Ork Codex (local store got an advanced copy, and I gave it a good scan) show it crammed in the back with lots of Orks. Don't know if the kit comes with a seated driver and/or gunner (I assume so, for the seats down in front), but all the guys in the back were regular plastic-kit Orks, and the trukk held quite a few of them.

I think both kits look pretty good, and (gulp) fairly priced (for GW). I modeled an original trukk to look a bit like this giant trukk (raised and widened the bed considerably, lengthed it as well, added armour plating of various sorts, all so it could hold 6 properly based Orks and have several hard-points for interchangable weapons), and I'm sure I spent twice what they are now asking for this kit.

Games Workshop America announces that they are taking advance orders for:

Ork Trukk - Advanced Order

Ork Trukk
Trukks are built for speed and speed alone, and usually have little in the way of armour plating. A direct hit upon a Trukk can cause it to come apart in a clattering, cartwheeling pile of burning wreckage. Still, because Trukks are so light it is easy to bail out when they crash, and it is just as likely that a hit will smash apart some wotsit that the driver only hammered into place so he could keep an eye on it.

An Ork Trukk may be included in your Ork army as Dedicated Transport.

Part Code: 99120103012
Release Date: 10 January 2008

This boxed set contains enough plastic components to assemble one (1) Ork Trukk. All models are supplied unpainted and require assembly.

Boxed Set - $30.00 USD

Ork Warbikers - Advanced Order

Ork Warbikers
Warbikers function as outriders and shock troops for the main horde. The pall of exhaust and oily smoke thrown up by their vehicles helps conceal their advance, giving them a measure of protection from enemy guns. Some warbiker tribes have even been known to use controlled skids to communicate messages back to their fellows by sending up clouds of dust.

Warbikes may be included in your Ork army as a Fast Attack choice.

Release Date: 10 January 2008

This boxed set contains enough plastic components to assemble three (3) Ork Warbikers. All models are supplied unpainted and require assembly.
