The standard infantry unit is a company made up of about 8 bases of 12 figures (making about 100 men per company)

Command and control has 2 methods depending if you go for basic or advanced rules.
Basic is just that, units within the specified range of a commander can do as you wish within the rules.
Advanced play means they need to be allocated 1 of 4 orders.
Winning the initiative determines who must go first (turn based) they then carry out the orders given and the other player then follows, this means good orders can backfire if the enemy manages to get the edge over you and plans to this .

Given that you will probably be using quite a few bases the casualty system is very quick and does not use markers or chits that would slow play when using say a hundred bases.

I guess it plays like beginners/lite Napoleonics, it looks good and is quick and fun.
It takes a few liberties with formations in order for the fun of play but is clearly a Napoleonic/Black Powder game.

It is unusual in that it is pretty much 1:1 ratio of figures to men, so even a game with a 1000 men is still a skirmish by Napoleonic standards as that is just a Battalion.

Bespoke does indeed mean made to order, most of the terrain items were first made for specific customers then added to the website based on that customers feedback.
