DBMM is an enlarged, radical development of DBM 3.0, intended to produce more realistic games and face players with all the challenges and opportunities familiar to real generals of the period. It has been in development for more than 3 years, with international testing by an internet group of more than 800 wargamers who have generated over 50,000 messages with suggestions, criticisms and test game reports, so is the most thoroughly tested prototype rule set ever.
It rewards players with a plan, allows a variety of cunning stratagems taken from the compilations of ancient authors, and caters for the exceptional generals of antiquity in a way impossible by relying only on the player's personalities. It provides more varied terrain and deployment options and eliminates the geometric ploys and stereotyped procedures currently in vogue among the more objectional competition players.
It will be supported more than 200 army lists updated by dedicated researchers from those that accompanied DBM.
