As always very nice stuff Ken. I like the Maryland militia that I purchased a while back for this range, although I have gone back to working on my AWI figures from ATKM.

Keep up the great work.

Rarely does it seem manufacturers write about games they've played for fun, but here's just such a post. This past weekend, we at ATKM played the inaugural game with our new War of 1812 line.

War of 1812 game

These are all 54mm troops, with a few from some other manufacturers. You can see pics here.

We used the All the King's Men rules, the 2nd edition of which is available as a free PDF download. These rules are a work in progress, but are ever closer to their finished form.

The table was 6 x 7 with lots of terrain features. The battle was fictional, and pitted seven units of British, Canadians and Indians against seven units of American regulars and militia. It was a blast, with the Americans giving the British a sound thrashing!

In the ATKM rules, generals are jeopardized when they take a direct hand with one of their units. In one case, the British general re-ordered his rocket battery only to be the victim of an errant rocket! In rules terms, his rating dropped from 2 to 1. A hilarious highlight from a great game!

With our painted collection of the figures established, we'll be using them to run convention games throughout 2010. Look for us at a show!
