NEW NAPOLEONIC SAXONS

SN500 Saxony Early Hussar Command

Foundry Presents the Army of the Kingdom of Saxony

Following the disaster of Jena-Auestaedt in 1806, Saxony ended its alliance with Prussia and swore allegiance to Napoleon. The Saxon army fought for him in their old fashioned uniforms until 1809.

During this period, the Saxony infantry consisted of Musketeer and Grenadier battalions. Hussars, Chevauxlegers and Cuirassiers formed the cavalry. All of these, plus foot and horse artillery, are available in these collections for recruitment to your new Napoleonic Saxony army.
