Jim Ludwig of Dark Sword Miniatures writes:

Mpls, MN - On March 18th, the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced that Dark Sword Miniatures had received two Origins Award nominations for Best Miniature Line of 2005. The Caldwell Masterworks premium miniature line and Visions in Fantasy premium miniature line both received nominations for Best Miniature Line of 2005.

Origins Award nominee

Having both of these miniature lines nominated for this prestigious award is a fitting tribute to the passing of Dennis Mize - the multiple-award-winning sculptor responsible for bringing the artwork of Clyde Caldwell and the concepts for our Visions in Fantasy line to life.

Dragonsblood

To be in such great company as fellow nominees Crocodile Games, Privateer Press and Aberrant Games is going to make this a tight race.

Origins Award winner

Dennis Mize and Dave Summers sculpted the 2004 Origins Award-winning Elmore Dragons line from Dark Sword Miniatures, Inc.

Elf Ranger

Dark Sword Miniatures Inc. was founded with the single purpose of creating extremely detailed fantasy miniatures for both miniature collectors and gamers alike. Our award-winning pewter fantasy miniatures are in the newer 28mm-to-30mm scale which has become the industry standard. Our fantasy miniature lines are based on the artwork of Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, Clyde Caldwell and Jeff Easley. All four artists have been gaming industry icons for the past 20 years now and their artwork needs no introduction. Award-winning sculptors Tom Meier, Dennis Mize and Dave Summers are responsible for sculpting the Dark Sword lines.
