Warlord Games Purchase Force of Arms Range

Ancientsgamer I would say it is good for the hobby. An excellent line of models will not disappear which has happened more than once over the years. As to equal footing, why is it important to see someone take on GW? First off, Warlord is producing primarily historical figures. GW ceded any competition toward historical miniatures, et. all, when it shut down Warhammer Historicals. I would agree that when it comes to fantasy miniatures that Reaper gives GW more than a run for the money but again Reaper is shooting mainly for the RPG crowd and not those looking to conduct table top battles per se.

From what I have seen on TMP many of the members are pretty conservative and favor capitalism. Acquisition is part and parcel of capital growth and not necessarily a bad thing unless you are talking a monopoly. Glad to see Warlord doing well and helping in it's own way to grow the miniature collecting and war gaming hobby.

Cheers,

Kim

Warlord Games are delighted to announce that we have purchased a significant number of 1:56 scale vehicles and guns from Force of Arms, and will be adding them to our award-winning Bolt Action range.

"The opportunity to expand our already large stable of resin vehicles with items we were planning to have made was too good an opportunity to pass up," says Paul Sawyer of Warlord Games. "Adding in vehicles to support the early stages of WWII and the Winter War as well as the interwar period, these will also appeal to those wargamers enjoying the A Very British Civil War setting."

John Bruce, owner of Force of Arms, says, "I am pleased that this sale ensures these excellent models continue to be available to wargamers worldwide. They are an exciting fit to the already comprehensive package on offer from Warlord Games. Force of Arms will now be specializing in the period 1946 to the end of the Cold War, and expects to bring some interesting models to the market in the near future."
