Hello!
I'm pleased to report that the newest models in the Khurasanian/Ghaznavid range are available: the junior Ghilman or Khurasanian horse archers, as well as the emir (commander) for the same range.
These wear variations of the long khaftan coat typical of soldiers of the region at that time, and are at various stages of firing their bows (to the side of the horse's head, to the left). The coat covered the most typical armour of the period, either a lamellar cuirass or a short-sleeved chainmail shirt - one model has a hint of the chainmail at the top of this coat, but these models can accordingly be used for lightly armoured or unarmoured horsemen.
Their headgear is similar to that of the Chamosen helmet, a one-piece hemispherical helmet, which can alternately be painted as a felt or cloth cap. One man is wearing the archetypal Persian pointed metal helmet.
The emir is splendidly equipped as shown in a 10th century fresco, with long chain protection, metal discs on his chest, and tubular vambraces. A reconstruction of this fresco can be seen in Heath's Armies of the Dark Ages, plate 108. He is gesturing his troops forward with his mace.

Unfortunately, scanner blur strikes again! Despite that, the beautiful work that Sandra Garrity has done on these should shine through.
Very soon, the Eastern Islamic infantry will be available. Also coming very soon - the first Thing in the Crypt model! Thanks to all for your support.
