Eureka's 28mm Boiler Suit Apes range continues to evolve with new tooled-up gibbons and spacesuit-wearing Apeonauts!
Some of you may have seen pre-release castings of the gibbons at Historicon last year so you know these guys didn't just fall out of the trees yesterday! Sculptor Kosta Heristanidis has provided them with all the latest hardware, and they're ready to go. Their larger ape cousins carry Kalashnikovs and the like, but most gibbons prefer quick-firing Mac-10's and grenades, making them ideal fast-moving assault troops. There's also an RPG gibbon that can provide support for his team-mates, or he can be gun-boy/loader for his larger boiler suit ape comrade (see 100BSA05). Overseeing matters is tech-savvy Sub-Commandante Julius, co-ordinating his charges from behind his lap-top, whilst keeping tabs on the bigger picture.
Also available with the gibbons are 5 new spacesuited apes - fresh out of a tiny re-entry capsule and onto a world near you. They include the strangely attractive Aperrella, her gibbon sidekick, and three Apeonaut gorilla enforcers. Armed with M-4 rifles or Mac-10, these travellers can take care of themselves until help arrives useful for 'downed pilot' scenarios, or wherever apes in spacesuits are needed.
