Xtreme Hobby is producing Cold Navy, a new line of "high quality starship miniatures."
Designed to be used with any space combat system, these 1/12000 scale figures will also offer a whole universe to play in. According to Cold Navy's official WWW site: "This universe offers several unique factions each with their own histories, cultures, strengths, weaknesses and fighting styles."
So far three factions are featured on the site; the Terran Republic, the Mauridian Empire, and the Kharadorn Empire. Several varities of frigates, destroyers, cruisers, carriers, and battleship class vessels are listed. Suggested retail price for blister range from $7.50 USD to $12.50 USD.
The 3D sculpting work was rendered by John Bear Ross of Hellion Productions, with concept art by Mike Hardy.
According to Mike Hardy, Cold Navy's financial backer and conceptual artist, they are trying for a release date of November 14.
