It has nothing to do with the shipping costs. Those are added on top -afterwards-. It is simply the over super mega inflated exchange rate that exists only in their imagination and they basically change the pricing according to your location with a 30% premium.
Shipping costs are out of the equation, all the more that the new price includes 20% VAT.
Let's say a box cost GBP 30 on Warlord's website if you are located in the UK, the price appears to be in our browsers GBP 42 if you are located overseas.
let's see what we have:
purchase in UK should bring 30 -20% VAT = 24 GBP revenue
however, they are not charged any VAT on exports, so if they charge GBP 42, they really get GBP 42 revenue.
knowing that at the very very most and craziest, a box shipped from UK to us would cost 10 GBP, that's GBP 32 revenue for them vs 24 GBP in UK. We are talking about single boxes, but you can group the purchase and still have shipping costs relatively affordable.
In any case, I can understand this is not a concern for people with the UK price, but, I, for one, don't like this differential pricing based according to region.
Have the same pricing for anyone around the globe and charge fair shipping costs.
I raised the point to their customer service and they pretended not to understand and blamed it on the "exchange rate" which is total boll-ox
We buy now from other perfectly fine manufacturers and I suppose everyone is happy.
